World Cup 2022: France and England fight in the quarter-finals

After a series of round of 16 matches from 4-12, the 2022 World Cup has identified another pair of matches in the quarterfinals, England vs France.

The Three Lions continued to be unbeaten in Qatar with an easy 3-0 victory over Senegal in the fourth match of the 1/8 round.

Jordan Henderson opened England’s victory with a light but dangerous finish to beat goalkeeper Edouard Mendy in the 38th minute after Bellingham’s cross.

Henderson’s goal helped the Three Lions relieve the pressure and before the first half ended they were once again celebrated.

Harry Kane did not miss the opportunity in the 45+3 minute after Phil Foden’s assist to score the first goal of the 2022 World Cup.


Gareth Southgate’s army continued to outperform the opponent in the second half, but only one more goal was scored by Bukayo Saka in the 57th minute, thereby winning the aggregate 3-0 victory over Senegal.

This is also the third match in a row that the England team has not conceded a goal at the 2022 World Cup – a very favorable run before entering the great war with France.
