Cody Gakpo: The record transfer in the history of PSV

Both Liverpool and PSV agreed not to announce the transfer fee. But general manager Marcel Brands insists this is a “record transfer for PSV”.

Transfer hunter Fabrizio Romano said Liverpool had to pay a transfer fee of $ 45 million, with a fee of $ 15 million, to have Gakpo’s services. The duration of the contract has not been confirmed.

Growing up from the PSV training camp, Gakpo made great progress last season when he scored 21 and assisted 15 goals to help the home team finish second in the Dutch league, two points behind the champion Ajax.

In the first 24 matches of the 2022-2023 season, Gakpo also impressed with 13 goals and 18 assists. In total, he has 55 goals and 50 assists in 159 games for PSV.
