After only a few months with Fulham, midfielder Joao Palhinha has drawn interest from both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur both need a new central midfielder like Palhinha
Judging by the advancing years of James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, and Fabinho, Jurgen Klopp’s squad may use a new center midfielder.
Moises Caicedo, currently playing for Brighton & Hove Albion, and Jude Bellingham, currently playing for Borussia Dortmund, have both been strongly connected to moves to Anfield.
Even though they recently acquired Yves Bissouma from Brighton, it seems that Tottenham is still looking to add to their center midfield options.
Reports from Give Me Sport’s Dean Jones claim that both Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in signing Palhinha.
According to Jones, Palhinha’s consistency is “nearly unrivaled in the league for players in this position,” and he has drawn interest from Liverpool and Tottenham.
It is not easy for Liverpool and Tottenham to get Palhinha
The 27-year-old Portuguese international is a prized possession for Fulham, who have no intention of letting him go.
Because Palhinha is under contract with Fulham until 2027, the club has significant leverage should Liverpool or Tottenham pursue the midfielder.
Since joining Fulham from Sporting CP, Palhinha has made 19 total appearances, scoring three times. His defensive efforts have been crucial as Marco Silva’s Fulham team has continued its remarkable start and pursuit of European football.
